Designer, Shaun Clarkson may have honed his skills on London’s Denim, Pop and Atlantic Bar, but he’s clearly lavished love and affection on his own project ‘Cliff Barns’ - a magnificent blend of hip hacienda and cowboy cool set in a beautiful corner of rural Norfolk. There’s more than a nod towards irony not just in the Dallas-inspired name but also in the ranch ‘dressing’ of the rooms adding a touch of humour to the glamorous, sophisticated interiors. The exterior is just as elegant with beautiful landscaped gardens and a colonial Spanish courtyard.

Guests have use of the owner’s beach hut on the glorious beach at Old Huntstanton complete with deckchairs, buckets and spades. Cliff Barns can pre-stock the larders and fridge with anything and everything from vodka and chocolate to local organic staples. Meals by private chef cooked on the spot or pre-prepared and delivered can be pre-booked, along with activities from clay pigeon shooting and golf to Yoga and Pilates. The barns can be booked for wedding ceremonies and receptions and corporate events for up to 120 guests. Elegant hen breaks with wind-down Yoga/Pilates, chick flicks and hot tub sundowners can also be arranged.

Cliff Barns sleeps up to 18 in six double bedrooms and a bunk room. It can be rented for stays from three nights to a month with prices from £1,590 for a 2-night mid week stay or from £2,740 for a 3-night weekend. UPDATE: The Barn is now fully booked for weekends from 1 March - 12 Sept (it is available for mid-week bookings between these dates). Christmas 2008 and New Year 2008/09 are also booked.
