Owned by fromer music industry exec. Cheryl Robson and her husband Alex, Dairy Cottage blends stunning architectural features and eco-sensitive design with the kind of luxurious bathrooms, quality contemporary furnishings and mod cons you'd expect from someone who's stayed in more than her far share of the World's top boutique hotels. The two bedroom (double & twin - ideal for kids), two bathroom cottage adjoins the Robsons' own home but has its own large private garden scattered with funky furnishings. After filming it for his Channel 4 Grand Designs show, presenter Kevin McCloud asked if he could move in... it is that kind of a place!
Mod cons include a large plasma TV, DVD/CD player, full SKY package, in-wall surround sound system, coffee machine and a handy blender, plus more standard microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The rear garden has a decked patio area with garden furniture and a BBQ. A generous organic welcome pack, and optional arrival night/first day massage service sets the tone for an indulgent break. Guests with little people will be interested to know that there’s also a family room filled with toys, books and games, and babysitting is also available. See our sister-site, www.babyfriendlyboltholes.co.uk, for details.
Although very tranquil the cottage is located just a few minutes drive from the Ringwood turn-off the A338 or A31. It is just 15 miles from the Bournemouth coast and the same distance to the historic catherdral city of Salisbury. As well as exploring the New Forest, there are many seaside towns within a 20 mile radius. Cheryl highly recommends the beaches at Sandbanks and Mudeford Quay beaches, both within 25mins drive.
For a special night out, there are three Michelin star restaurants within 30mins drive and Cheryl is happy to make advance reservations.
Dairy Cottage sleeps four in two bedrooms (super king and twin) with two bathrooms. It is available to rent weekly or for short breaks with prices from £375-£1500.
