This is a boutique retreat with a difference, a commitment to the local and global environment. Owners, Tessa and Alan Rose, ensured as much local talent as possible was involved in the creation of the barns and now showcase work by local artists. Geothermal and solar powered energy heats the barns and pool. The combination of fabulous artworks, heated outdoor pool, contemporary furnishings, indulgent bathrooms and luxury touches such as Egyptian cotton bed linen, Seboni Spa toiletries and cook/housekeeper, might seem almost too good for a family break, but equal attention has been paid to the needs of younger guests. A cabin bedroom, a den with funky beanbags, baskets of toys and nursery equipment, plus enclosed front and rear gardens are all designed with little ones in mind . In addition, the cook serves a special kids supper in early evenings, the menu for which can be agreed in advance, allowing adults to relax over their three course dinner and free flowing wine later.
