The unassuming exterior of Twin Cottage makes it almost in danger of being overshadowed by the natural beauty of its national park location, but a step inside finds its an equally inspiring retreat that you’ll look forward to returning to after woodland walks or seaside strolls – many beautiful beaches are within a short drive. The attractive interior blends muted tones with French-style furnishings including a slipper bath that begs you to luxuriate in it whilst sipping Champagne, an antique bed you’ll find it almost impossible to leave, and a log fire you’ll want to curl up in front of every evening.
Mod cons include a flat screen TV, Freeview, Nespresso coffee maker, breadmaker, DVD player, CD and radio players, free wireless broadband and printer. There are also luxury touches in the form of sumptuous bath robes and a welcome pack with delicious breakfast produce, Bendicks Mints, fresh flowers and that all important first night bottle of wine – get that bath running! Guests with little people will be interested to know that there’s also a family room filled with toys, books and games, and babysitting is also available. See our sister-site, www.babyfriendlyboltholes.co.uk, for details.
A short walk from Twin Cottage brings you to the centre of Burley village where you can see horses, donkeys and cattle wandering freely and hire cycles, view galleries, buy essentials and sample home cooking in one of the cluster of tea houses. The nearby town of Lymington is popular with sailors and a great place for independent bistros and boutiques including: The Vanilla Bean Café, for brunch; Pod for interiors goodies; Lymington Larder for fire-side deli nibbles; and Lulu’s for girlie gifts, handbags, jewellery and bath and bed items. For evenings out, try contemporary dining at Wisteria Bar and Restaurant (Lymington), or the scenic Mill at Gordleton, whilst, Long’s Jazz Cellar (Lymington) is recommended for live music
The cottage has two bedrooms and sleeps four (plus a cot). It can be rented per week or for weekend and mid-week short breaks, year round. Prices are from £495 - £1,575 depending on duration and time of stay.

"A wonderful "Boutique Bolthole" to relax away from the city and rest up before the birth of our first child! Will return as a family and would love to take advantage of summer activities around Burley." Suzanne Dent, London.
